Camilo Condis

Camilo Condis is a media and project management professional with over a decade of experience leading civic, editorial, and infrastructure initiatives across Cuba and beyond. His work bridges the worlds of independent media, nonprofit leadership, and large-scale engineering, consistently focused on delivering high-impact results and fostering public dialogue.

As co-creator and host of El Enjambre, a groundbreaking Cuban podcast exploring news, politics, and civic life, Mr. Condis helped launch a platform that redefined public discourse for a new generation. The New York Times described El Enjambre as “one of the biggest hits among the scores of new Cuban-made podcasts,” and in 2019, 14ymediorecognized him as one of the “Faces of the Year” in Cuba for his role in the show’s success.

Mr. Condis has also contributed insights and context to international media outlets, including The New York Times, BBC, El País, Reuters, AFP, and AP, as well as Cuban independent platforms such as El Toque. His expertise and commentary have helped shape international understanding of Cuba’s social and political landscape.

Beyond his media work, Mr. Condis co-founded Lucendi LLC, an engineering company that delivered some of Cuba’s most iconic restoration projects, including the National Capitol dome, the historic Martí Theater, and Havana’s Central Park. He led the company’s strategic growth, improved operational efficiency, and integrated renewable energy technologies into complex public works.

His nonprofit experience includes leadership roles at Artecorte, where he oversaw press and public relations and coordinated a free youth radio workshop. He also coordinated projects for Cuba 8, La Liga en Cuba, and Cuba Emprende, supporting entrepreneurship training efforts.

Mr. Condis is an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), Class of 2020, and has been invited to speak or participate in international events hosted by the CEO Summit of the Americas, the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE), and the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). He has participated in professional exchanges in Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Today, Mr. Condis remains dedicated to using his cross-sector experience, media leadership, and strategic communication skills to contribute to meaningful, forward-looking projects that advance innovation, civic engagement, and social impact.
